This is a military training film about Carl Brashear's true story. He left his country to join United States Navy.He sent lots of recommendation letter to Diving and Salvage School but without effort. Eventually the school accept him because he submit numberous letter to show why he desired to be there.

My personal review
There are two scenes I like very much.The first scene is in the library when he talks to his futher wife. Although he was in the 7th grade, he struggles to study very hard to pass the exam because they said I couldn't have it. I think this is Why his wife wants to teach hime because of his determination. The other is about final 12 steps. A man who loses his left leg in the bomb incident and wear artifical leg to fight US Navy. Finally, he successfully returns to full active duty and becomes a master diver. It's a very good story to encourage everybody to chase you dream just like Carl Brashear.
